A run of the mill DC, narrow front, w/out weights won't weigh 5,000#. After the yard gets done cheating you on the scales, deducting for rubber and fluids, you'd be lucky to get $200.00. Would you take $200.00 from someone who sees some value in it and will keep it from a scrapper?

It’s just a 2-300 dollar unit. Unless it has good tires. Restorers need parts units. Dont scrap it .
Yep unfortunately those old Cases just are not worth that much, I have bought them for $400-$500 dollars and had them running in a few hours. He says it has a hitch so definitely has some value as parts if it has the eagle hitch, Live PTO and possibly remote hydraulics.

I paid $400 for the 1953 SC that I just posted here even though the cylinders are probably trashed. I figured around $300 was what it would bring on the scale, he wanted $400 so I did that because it was complete with the top link for the eagle hitch and the hook point that covers the PTO, drawbar that looks like it had hardly been used and non beat up and non leaking radiator, good seat pan etc. He had the Case sickle mower there for it, wanted $100 for it, I should have snagged it but didn't want to spend anymore money that day
