Case dc4 brake repair

Trying to get brake discs off dc4 do they slide off spline or does shaft have to b removed :?: [/b]

Should slide right off the spline. Sometimes they are rusted and need some tapping with a small
hammer.

Rusted real bad. Maybe little heat no movement on shaft at all. Looks like one piece

This is what I ran into on my SC after it sat outside in the weather for 25+ yrs. We soaked the disks for several weeks still no movement. Started to get rough with the disks with big pry bars. Still nothing.
Other than bending the disks beyond repair. Finally had to cut the disks off of the shaft an get some other ones . Hope you have better luck than I did, clint

Got one side of brake discs off tonite Quite
A job. Heat hammer. Heat hammer pry couple hrs. Will tackle
other side soon. Ordered new discs from steiners

would an air chisel help chatter them loose?

Finally got other brake disc off. Took plates too local machinist to resurface. Real rusted. Even little balls are pitted n rough Get new ones or steal from ball bearing. I need one valve spring. Exhaust any ideas where to get one? Was just going to get running and replace tires but decided to tear done sand blast and paint. So got a job ahead of me
