Case DI Clutch Replacement and Modification

Finally finished a job I started back in November. I got this tractor from a family member that had been sitting for 30 years and got it running and moving. It was parked because the clutch was worn out and I confirmed that. Here is the process I used for splitting and replacing the clutch with some modern technology. Thanks to Don Livingston and John Saeli for the parts and wisdom!

Like the Lull loader. The city had a MM RTI/Lull loader and that was a stout little unit. It was their only loader when dad worked there until they got a 920 Cat in the early 80s.

The one my dad used was an ex state machine and it was used hard. The curl cylinders are pretty heavy on those and the ones on the MM were actually slightly bent right next to the point where they attached to the bucket. That tractor had a stack of cutting edges the full width of the tractor, about 10 inches high and the cutting edges were about 8 inches wide, bolted to the back of the tractor for extra weight.

That's awesome. Yeah this one was used hard too. The story I got was it was used for loading salt into trucks in Milwaukee back in the 40's ad 50's until some relatives bought it and used it for moving rock around. I guess they also used it to help build a shooting range some place as well. I cant wait to make it work once getting the engine to run a bit better.
