Case do rear tire size

So according to the parts book it had either 11 or 12" rims originally. Talked to the local tire shop, they said pickings in 13.6" x26 was pricey. They said 14.9x26 was pretty common. The rims/hubs that are on it now are 24" and cobbled together. Would 14.9" make the thing look wonky or severe nose down position? Would they even fit? There is no orchard metal, just STD fenders.

I'm pretty sure the modern 14.9 26 is the same size as the older 13.6 26. If it helps you we put a set of 13.6 26 on our JD AR and they looked way too small, I will definitely be going with the 14.9 26 on my next tractor.

14.9x24 on this C we did last year...look good.

Both of my DO's had 14.9x26 rear tires on them with 12" wide rims, but I have seen a couple of late DO's with a different style cast center that I think was for a 24" rim. Could you post a picture of what you are working with?

14.9 x 26 was a standard size on the D/DO models. Even a 16.9 will fit, if the rims are widened. The 13.6 was also a standard size, but they look a little small in my opinion.

13.6 replaced a 12
14.9 replaced a 13
16.9 replaced a 14
18.4 replaced a 15

A 13" tire on a 13" rim should be just perfect.
