Case L questions

Hello all, this is my first time on the Case site, I looked at a L today that I can have for free. I'm not sure of the year yet. It's been outside, all rusted, exhaust covered, sheet metal looks good, rubber tires are shot, everything else looks complete. From what I can tell parts seem hard to find. Are these tractors worth restoring or parting. I have restored a Farmall Super C and a Ford 8N. I would say parts for those were readily available and fairly priced. Any advice or input would be helpful. Thank you. Brian

welcome to the forum!! as to "L" parts lots of them made and you should have no trouble locating parts just ask here and I think you will get pointed in the right direction cnt

Welcome Brian! They guys on this site are very helpful. I have an L too that started about like the one you"re looking at. Hope to have mine up and running this summer. Some parts are a little tuff to find but the guys on this site have helped me get all I"ve needed. Lots of the LA parts will interchange. Only down side that I see with and L is that they are on the heavy side. Go for it! But if you decide against it, I"m sure someone on this site might be interested.

Very desireable tractor to restore because "They don't make them anymore". Sleeves, O'Rings, Piston Rings, & Gasket Sets for the "L" are still available from CASE.
