this post is to a post in 2016
I saw that soome one (hoss) replied to a case dc magneto question in his reply he stated that he got mag parts from a napa store . my local napa store is a supposedly a ag store. they have a old Echlin catalog and I have been able to find many antique tractor ignition parts my question is did any one ever get points for a mag there I would love to look at trying to get a set but don't want to hassle them if they never existed and I also know that John saeli has them if I really need them.but i just do a little detective work

Even though I agree NAPA has good ignition parts, finding a good parts guy or gal is getting hard to find, or one that even knows what a magneto is much less points and condensor. With that said, if you need points for it, personally I would get them from John, that way you know you'll get the right ones instead of guessing

You don't have to depend on a counter person to look up ignition parts for you.

Go to the link above and you can look up Standard Ignition/Blue Streak Ag and Industrial parts and get part numbers to look for on-line or at a local auto parts store.

They don't have every ignition part for every application, but a quite a few can be found there.

''Standard'' is the maker/supplier of NAPA ignition parts, but NAPA uses their own numbering system, but even a ''greenhorn'' counter person at NAPA or most every every auto parts store SHOULD be able to cross the ''Standard'' numbers to what they sell.

Not too long ago there was a guy on eBay selling four sets of Slick points for a JMA magneto. They were priced at $40 per pair.
