Teddy, dug through my stuff and found a module someone gave me years ago, slappped a parts mag to test together, surprise!!!

that is awesome! I figured it would work just like it would on a chainsaw mag

Only problem is they quit makin em in 2005 but my SIL has a couple others for me to try, there at chainsaw units a lot smaller than this one, havin fun n maybe we can keep some stuff runnin.

I bet the Oregon 33-053 module would work, which you can still buy. I have one that I got to put on a saw and never did. You got me wanting to try it out on one of the old mags I have sitting around. If I ever get a free moment I will try it out and report back

Not sure if you know anything about the Newman motor but here goes! Genius Joe built a commutator that feeds a high voltage low amperage to a huge coil of wire creating a north & south pole. A permanent magnet rotor is inside of the coil. The imput causes the rotor to turn. Then the imput is stopped & the ends of the coil are connected to each other which prevents the coils magnetic field from collapsing , holding the field still putting torque to the rotor with no imput from the batteries. Then it opens the coil connection & back to the battery power. This happens many times until the rotor turns 180 degrees then it reverses the current to keep the rotor rotating. So maybe your switch could be used, maybe not?
