I don't know about in your part of the world, but a couple years ago I saw one sell here for $400, in useable, but not perfect, condition. This is horsey country, so any old hay equipment that works usually gets a few bids.

is there a id plate or something. how do you know what number it is.

I never seen a ID plate on the rakes but here is a few pics of a 100,200 and 281 the 281 is equipped for a hyd cylinder and is two-tone

thanks guys, it is a 281. has 5 bars, and hydralic linkage. and is two tone.

I paid $500.00 for mone last summer in the mid Atlantic area. It was usable but I am in the process of restoringin it. I plan to use it this spring. Where is this one at? I might be interested if you do no get it and it is close enough.
