I have a chance to purchase a 1950 Case S. Can someone tell me what the top speed is on these. I want to participate in a local fundraiser tractor trek. But the tractor needs to be capable of at least 10 mph to participate in the trek.

Ours goes about 12 or 13 mph.

Both of mine set around 12 too, but I won't run them on "runs" anymore because it's right up against the governor, and there's always make speed if you're toward the rear. I use my Racine 400 or my DC4 which has smaller sprockets and really scoots. I hate running things wide open, basically unloaded as in a tour. My 2 bits. Larry

Id have to agree,get a tractor that moves out fairly quick.then run it at half throttle or so.wanna fly buy a 312 tripl range.but they are kinda rare n hard to come by.
Dont know how fast it goes but my 312 in high half throttle is darn fast
