I have 2 case SC 1951-52 tractors Have been looking for a wide front for one of my tractors. when I found one the cast housing was broke at lower neck where shaft pivots. but it looks like the narrow front has same casting but maybe machined shorter. anybody ever tried this swap. looks like bottom could be machined up to right length and accept the steering shaft.bob

Been there done that. Looks the same, but needs to be cut off and the entire length needs to be bored out. Did it on mine 30 years ago and is still working fine. DK

I did the same thing with my 1949SC, in fact DKase advised me as to how to do it. I got the narrrow front from Don L.
