Case Tractor Identification

Folks
I need help identifying my tractor which I beileive is a Case 300 series as I need to order a shop manual and engine over haul kit.
There is no serial number on the instrument panel or tool box. I did find a number above the starter which is 120N07038.
Top of engine is G1160, Lower block is G1000 R, Tranny section is G1155 and G1096.
I need to know the model and year.

Do you have any of the sheetmetal? It looks like a 300 for sure. Is it equipt with shuttle shift? Dual range? Hand clutch and foot clutch?

yes I have all the sheet metal. It does have a foot and hand clutch and a triple range shifter for various speeds in addition to the regular shifter.
Any idea what year this is???

It is a 300b they were made in 58 and 59

Doug,Is the nose-piece square with two headlights in it? It's a 58/59 311b, for sure, if it is. Is the hood one piece, or does it have small strips(3 or 4 inches wide) screwed or riveted to the back/bottom side (below the chrome strip)? I believe the 58 was a single piece, and the 59 was a 3 piece hood.

Looking at the casting where the air cleanter is I think it's a '56 or '57 round nose. That casting is more square with 300B models. Also it's probably a 310 with that type of front axle and if it has the 24 inch rims on the back I'm sure it is. Take care, Roger

Tractor is model 310 (utility) 1956 - 1957. Model/sn tag should be on the dash below the steering wheel shaft looking up.

The bolster front is rounded as in the pix to accommodate the round nose sheet metal, has 2 center bolts to fasten the lower front of the sheet metal. 310B bolster is squared off in the front and ridged for grill screens, significantly different, doesn't look anything like a 310.

G1000 is a block casting nr for the a 148 cid engine. I don't know what your R is for.

G1160 is the casting nr for an LPG and high altitude cylinder head used on some 148 cid engines.

G1155 is the casting nr of the 310 torque tube used on 310 spark ignition engines w/o shuttle transmission. Not listed for 310B.

G1096 is the transmission case used on 310 & 310B utility tractors.

I haven't seen any 310 round nose with gas engine serial nr starting with 120, all have been 110, can you recheck that?. Just wondering with your LPG head and the R on the block casting nr.
