Case tractor

I'm trying to find out where a serial # would be located other than on the dash of my case tractor. The one one dash is gone and can't find anything on the battery box. There is a part #,I believe, on the bell housing.( VT596) Similar pictures I've seen suggest that it is a VA or VAO model. I'm trying to find more info on this tractor for possible restoration. Thanks for any help I can get.

Sorry I can't help with serial number. VAO has low floor boards, you sit astradle of it like a Ford, seat is low on the housing. Also has low steering wheel. VAO also has turned down underneath exhaust. VA sits high like VAC, has standard wide front with VAC wheels. Has short rear axles with 28 inch wheels like VAC.
