I am replacing the clutch of a friends' 1947 VAC and he said it also leaks. So I am not wanting to reinvent the wheel here. I know several of you have done this on here. After this one, there is a 1955 VAC 14 that leaks hydraulic fluid at the torqe tube seal, and maybe the engine rear main seal. So I will be splitting two vac's in the near future.
The questions are: The seals going to be the same part numbers for both the 1947 and 1955 tractors ? and if so what are the napa, or cr seal numbers on these? Any tricks or words of advice on this job?
The clutch job will only be on the 1947. Where have you guys got replacement clutch or clutch kits from? Any problems to be aware of on this clutch job?
I have done other clutch jobs, but not on a VAC before. I do have the I&T shop manual for this that covers the multiple case models. Thanks in advance.
