Case VAC Cultivators

I have a question for anyone that can help. Do you think that cultivators for a VAC with-out an eagle hitch can be modified to lift using the eagle hitch? I have a little problem in that I just bought cultivators for a VAC with an eagle hitch but they are off a 1947 VAC with the lift underneath the belt pulley. Please help me if you can. the ones on my 52 vac lift off the eagle hitch. There is a pipe that runs from a bracket on the bottom of the eagle hitch rock shaft joint to the bottom of the handles that raise the cultivators. (That way you can still fine tune the cutting depth of each side). I am pretty sure u could fabricate a set to make it do the same thing with minimum problems. The only thing is, these are dampered with a spring, so u may want to be careful not to crack out anything if you don't use a spring somewhere in the equasion.
