I Have a 6ta-830 cummins in desperate need of tappet clearance setting, can anyone tell me the correct gap? thanks.

Intake .012
Exhaust .024

When engine is top dead number one set the following.. cyl #1 Int and Ex. Cyl #2 int
Cyl #3 ex Cyl #4 Int Cyl #5 ex

When engine is at top dead on number 6 set the following..Cyl #2 ex Cyl #3 Int Cyl #4 ex
Cyl #5 Int Cyl #6 Int and EX

A Case 7240? Interesting, Case made a 40-72 back in the 1920s.

thanks for your help.two of the inlet valves were at least 2mm and one exhaust was tight.
