Cash Grain?

In the local paper it gives the prices for grain and livestock as follows:

Corn -- Cash 4.17, Jan 4.21
Soybeans -- Cash 10.78, Jan 10.91

I don't remember seeing the term "Cash" before... Is this something new or just something that I'm just now noticing? And WHAT IS IT??

thats what that grain elevator is giving at that time

Sell now for January. Storage is normally 3 cents/bu, so you will get more if you sell now, but deliver (and get the check) in January.

Cash bid is right now today.

Jan is if you agree (today) to sell the corn & deliver it sometime in January.
