What would cause a loud grinding noise coming from the rear PTO and the mid PTO? Then no power to tiller?
The selector lever now does not stay in position and moves back and forth flops as if not connected. However, i wired the lever to stay on the rear PTO position and the grinding noise continued.
As stated, the Pto makes a loud grinding noise when i hold the lever on the rear PTO icon. I pushed the lever to engage rear pto, lowered the tiller to the ground and tiller stops turning while grinding noise is occurring.
Grinding noise occurs on all three PTO positions. But the pto lever does not work and select the PTO position. it sounded like the innards went through a rock crusher.
But now it’s worse and really loud .
3PTH moves fine.
Need expert to weigh in and tell me if this is fixable and likely cause.
Work is stopped until i fix this.
What is a recommended hardcopy repair manual? And source?
