Does anyone know how many batteries a Caterpillar 944A takes?

One is all that is required if it is strong enough. Can put two in parrel. Not series.

Not not say on that one but the Cat 950 loader I have on the place takes 2 very big 12 volt batteries.

My Uncle told me 6 12V batteries...that's horse crap...but I can't get in the damn batt cover.....Dumb things hinge is rusted closed...cant open it with out cutting the stupid hinge off...don't want to do that unless I'm sure I want the thing..
