Cattle Ear Tags?

What is a good brand of ear tags? I have used Destron Fearing DuFlex tags for a long time. I like them, but I can't find anyone who sells them now. I use red tags so my neighbors and I can tell at a glance if a strange animal has gotten into the wrong pasture. I found some lime green tags, but I kinda like red tags. Everything needs to match, ha. Destron Fearing appears to be out of business now.

Did they just go out of business? I found their site and it looks active. Also found a couple suppliers selling their stuff.

Thanks - I saw those on ebay. He has exactly what I need - tags numbered 76 - 100, but he states that the package is opened. I messaged him twice to see if the studs are included in the sale. No response. They are worthless without the studs. I found the Destron Fearing website, and I was hoping that they had a list of retailers that they supplied to. I'm not real good at internet navigation, and I was not able to see where they sold to. Buchheit's, one of our local farm stores, used to sell them, but the last time that I was there they said that they no longer sold that brand. They are good tags, and the applicator works great.

I just got a message from the ebay seller and he has offered me a discounted price, but he hasn't replied to my question about the studs.

I’m guessing that if he doesn’t answer the stud question he probably doesn’t have them.
There were a few others selling them on eBay. Keep searching and try some other AG sites.
I just typed in Red Destron Fearing tags and found a few but hard to tell if they were in stock. I did see an article that they are not being made anymore and the supplier was switching to another brand. I don’t recall the name though, it began with an A.

Gosh, you are so much like me, when we find something that works/we like it, we'd like the product to be available forever, (just went though that with some high quality dog collars) but in today's world that's not the case.

Even if we find a NOS package of what we like it's just a temporary solution.

We need to find a currently available product that will meet our needs and move on.

I agree - I'm thinking that no response means no studs. I feel like a fool. I went ahead and bought them at his discounted price. We'll see what shows up. I saw the studs for sale at several sites for around $12 for 25. I'm gonna watch for another brand to switch to in the future.

I found a lot of blank red Destron Fearing tags. I tried the blank tags years ago. A special marker is used to write the number. The ink did not weather well and dried up in the marker quickly. Also - did you ever try to re-write a number on a tag that was already attached to a cow? That would make a hilarious video.

Yeah, it seems that it's inevitable. Everything good must come to an end.

I finally received a reply. The seller sent a photo of a bag of studs. No text, but I think that all is in order.
