All of the 700 ish have bought leaked and on installlation. May be better quality or May be the same. I will try the 1100 next time big hassle to return if need tractor.

I'm sure the cheapest one is from the land of almost right. I noticed that for warranty to be valid it has to be installed by a certified diesel mechanic. The others are probably from another country.

Is yours not rebuildable? I would contact Dieseltech and ask about it.

If you have one send it to Dieseltech or Al
If you need a core I’ll look to see if I have a spare
I can say if there any difference in the pumps you found other than price
I purchased one from eBay that lasted 5 years before the cam ring failed, my local pump guy said it was probably built in Romania as he had seen several from there, he claimed the cam ring metal has not as hard as in the original pumps
Also even though I ordered a pump for a late 4000 the fuel rate calibration was set for a lower hp 3000
You should be able to get one rebuilt for around the low side of the new ones you’ve priced

I've read - but haven't verified - that there are no new CAV pumps, just knockoffs from various countries. I think I'd make a call to ASAP in Downing before trying one from the land of almost right.

I have installed 4 of these $600 dollar pumps... all worked well and did not leak. Sold tractors so.... no long term feedback. However there are many many grey/ foriegn market tractors running long hours on pumps that are not name brand pumps.

I think I found a used one.
A guy my pal Kenny knows scrapped out a 4500.
I can buy the pump for $300 and return it if it's not good. Seems to be a minimal risk way to go for now.

Unless it comes from a RUNNING engine the used pump might have stuck internal parts from setting.

I bought a new $650 CAV pump for my 3600 within the last 6 months off eBay. Very well pleased with the purchase and it has been working as it should since installation.
