Quote from letter dated November, 2013. "We regret to inform you that as of December 2nd, 2013 we are ending our contract with CASEIH. After 70 years of selling and servicing IH and CASEIH equipment, this was not an easy decision. It was impossible for us to meet all of their demands to continue doing business with them. Therefore we have made the decision to sell the CASEIH portion of our business to Johnson Tractor of Janesville, Wi to be located at their Juda location."

And so the "torch" is passed on........

"bermuda ken; tis sad news indeed.
I've been down to Brooklyn a few times; picked up a COMPLETE set of decals for the Farmall 340, 460 and International 460. Purchased a toy 460-U. The service was always there with friendliness. So not a big purchaser but, when these folks aren't around it is oft times fewer choices. It is the small businesses that constantly get hit up for donations; be it 4-H, FFA, this or that fund-raiser, etc. I read folks are liking the mufflers and I'm sure others hope you can continue supplying them. Guess I'm gonna call down there about distributor seals and gaskets; first I gotta' call and see what day the Edgewater Cafe in Albany is closed...'tink' it is Monday...another good, small local business.

so what were their demands? Are you retiring Ken?

That is very sad news indeed.
I couldn't believe my eyes when I read your post.
You being an avid supporter of Case IH, it must be a bitter pill to swallow.

Johnson has been pushing that for a while now. Really unfortunate. I personally would change brands before dealing with them again

An update to this story...C&G will be relying on their current lines (Bobcat, Cub Cadet and several shorelines) to continue on in business.

As a business decision, I have chosen to move to Johnson Tractor in Juda to continue to offer my customers access to genuine CNH parts and service.

I thank and appreciate all the customers I have had in the past and welcome them to stop by the Juda location of Johnson Tractor.

Ken, are you at liberty to share your future contact information with us at Johnson Tractor in Juda? An email address there or phone number would be great as I am (probably same as most on this site) a phone or website type of purchaser living out of the area. It has been a pleasure dealing with you and C&G in the past and glad the CNH relationship with you will still be available - best of success in your new role, Hal.

I have recommended C& G many times on this site. As soon as reasonable let us have the contact info at the new location. Will you seek to put the diagrams and other resources on the Johnson site? Jim

Ken,
Excellent, friendly, knowledgeable, professional service is becoming very hard to find. I get bored trying to explain my parts needs to the uninterested, & inexperienced counter guys who tend to act like they are doing you a favor by just having the lights on.
Service like yours will always be in demand no matter who signs your paycheck. I am afraid it is their loss, not yours.
The only thing that seems to remain constant anymore is change. I will be in touch with any parts needs I have in the future, and here is hoping they soon realize what an asset your expertise brings to their business. How's that K-whopper collection coming along?

Here's the 411 on the "new place"

my email there.. [email protected]

I'm working on a number of new things there right now. This is a "new from the ground up" dealer location, so it will take a while to get things going there. I appreciate everyone's past patronage and patience while getting everything moved and ready.
