I have a poulan chain saw 14 inch wood shark Its not an exspensive saw but it has done a lot of work, It still runs great but does not pump any oil on to the chain anymore ,I cleaned it all good and no luck any tips on how to fix it ? is it possible to fix it? thank you

You could replace the oiler. http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Poulan-Poulan-Pro-Oil-Pump-Kit-530071891_W0QQitemZ330406397464QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Chainsaws?hash=item4cedc18618
Sorry I don"t no how to do links

most likely oil filter is clogged. Empty the oil tank, then make a hooked wire & reach down inside the oil tank & pull the hose out with the filter on the end of it. Pull the filter off & check to see if oil comes out the oiler hole (after taking bar & chain off & running the saw). If still no oil, plastic gears are chewed up. Should be a cheap fix & easy to do.

Go to your locoal poulan dealer get part 530071259 oiler kit about $9.00 pump has plastic gears that strip out 10 min fix.

Larry:

If you do this and if you have digital camera would you make a photo-trail for me. I need to do the same thing with a Poulan saw --- I investigated this about one year ago and gave up --- couldn"t figure out the repair.

Thanks

Thanks , Larry.

Been away from office and NHS in boonies where I live.

I got bogged down with this ,as I said , last year. Search archives under "Poulan 2150" and you will see the great advice I got but couldn't act on due to my novice skills.
