I've got a parter chain saw that i can not make it cut straight. I put a new spocket, bar, and chain on it and it cut the same, in a circle. Anybody got any idea what it mite be that doing this. I've also try different chain another bar same thing am lost need help. Thank you.

Are you sure the gauge of the chain matches the gauge of the bar? A 0.050 gauge chain probably would not cut straight if installed on a bar designed for 0.063 gauge chain, even if both chain and bar are new.

Assuming that you have matched the bar and chain correctly as the other posters said have you examined the cutters? Did it start cutting crooked immediatly? or after you cut a while? With chisel chains it can only takes a bit of dirt or touching the ground with one side and they cut crooked. This can happen during cut one. Have also seen factory grinds with sharp cutters on one side and not so sharp on the other side. How the saw is held can force it to cut crooked too. This is more pronounced with heavy saws with off-set handles.

Make sure your rakers are the same on both sidess, too high or low on one side vs the other can cause that. Also look at the very tip of the teeth with a magnifyinbg glass, doesn't take much dullness to make crooked cuts.

Thanks for the replys I feel can stupid for asking question about it now, but i don't use a chain saw a lot and i did not know there was a different in the gauge in the chains. am almost sure that is what wrong with it. It all started when i but a new bar and chain on it. Thanks again for your reply.
