Chains for brush hog support

I have a 1952 WD45 and have a hard time keeping my brush hog at a consistent height. (Long story and I've tried everything with the settings). I'm thinking of welding chains or hooks to the brush hog and some sort of chain adjustment connections set up on the tractor. Does anyone have pictures of something similar?

How is the brush hog hooked to the tractor? Right now we can only guess. Do you have an aftermarket 3 point set up (WDs did not have a factory 3-point), a snap coupler set up, or a pull behind? The chains Joe suggested will work for 3-point. Something different might be needed if you are using a snap coupler and definitely something different if pull behind. A picture of your set up wouldn't hurt.

3 point set up. No pics as it's at the deer shack in northern Minnesota
With an aftermarket 3-point the chains Joe suggested should work. You might need a longer pin for the tractor end of the top link as the chains use that same location and often are outside the ears the top link should be between.

I just purchased these. Thanks Joe

What I wish I would have on my brush cutter are adjustable 'spinner wheels' at each front corner of the bush hog. Even if the tractor holds the height setting perfectly, when you over a dip with the rear wheels of the tractor the unit bottoms out anyway. The opposite is true when the front wheels go down the dip.
