Challenger MT515D

My bil has a Challenger mt515d tractor. It went into limp mode and has a fault code 1 61. It is something about the transmission. Any one have any experience, or can give any help with this? Thanks, Mark.

If it was mine I?d call the dealer service dept. They could tell you what the code refers to and the probable solutions.

Problems with the transmission shifting electronics seems to be a problem with the Challenger tractors. Had a neighbor who had one and he finally unloaded it for that reason. There was a guy over on the Bash Board with the same problem and unloaded his, and was glad to see it go. Good luck.
