challenger started out as a track tractor for agriculture, built by caterpillar.they have sold the ag.line to i believe, agco.who has added the wheel version

AGCO purchased the Challenger line of larger track tractors from Cat in 2002, and worked to expand the product offering of this brand to include wheeled tractors. At first this expansion included tractor models based off MF designs down into 20 some HP. They have since rethought the positioning of the Challenger brand, and now only provide larger tractors (still based on the MF design, all made in their plant in France). Looking for Advice and Tips!
Hi everyone,

I’m Jimi, JIMI BILL new to the forum and just getting started with some land clearing on my property here. I’ve got a few acres that I’d like to clear for future building and possibly some small-scale farming, but I’m not sure where to begin. I’ve been reading about different methods like forestry mulching, dozer work, and controlled burns, but it’s a bit overwhelming. I want to make sure I’m doing things the right way, especially when it comes to permits and protecting the soil.

If anyone has tips, experiences, or even pictures of their land clearing projects, I’d really appreciate it! What worked best for you? What should I avoid?

Welcome to the forums.

You aren't going to get much info on this forum; it is for Challenger tractors. Also, you tagged onto a 15-year-old thread about a tractor, nothing to do with your prime question here, people are likely to read the original post of the thread and reply to it, totally missing your post. You should start a new thread of your own up above on the Tractor and Farm Talk forum. Tell what you have for equipment now, how much land, the type of terrain and the vegetation to be cleared, then there will be other questions arise for you to answer.

As for permits that depends on where you are and regulations in your area, something you need to check out with the local governing body. Answers from people spread out across the US (and further) is pretty much meaningless and clouds what you need to know.
