I removed the Saginaw steering in my 1965 1650 diesel and was replacing it with a char-lynn steering off a white 2-70. The hoses on the 1650 are compressed on the steel lines. The only thing I can think of doing is to cut the steel lines and put a compression fitting on the steel lines with the female fitting to accept the char-lynn hoses. I think this will work, but if anyone else has run into this problem and has a better solution, I would really appreciate any advice you could give me. I really thought the Saginaw lines would have had the female couplings on the steel lines. Surprise 1
