charging on the super A eh!!!!

on this tractor with the switch, which position is to charge battery.

Any Original switch with 3 positions (ODB) has no connection to charging it is done by the Voltage regulator only.
Any switch with 4 positions (LHDB) controls charge in all positions. L is low charge, H is high charge, D is high charge and dim lights, B is high charge and Bright lights. Jim

Systems with a cut out had the 4 position light switch. Systems with voltage regulator had the 3 position light switch, and the 3 way switch had nothing to do with the charging. The voltage regulator did that part on its own. Not sure when IH made the change on the letter series.

The decal dont make the sw so is it 4 position or three
