Chevy not cranking

This is a little off topic but I was wondering if any one could help me.I have a 98 Chevy Cheyenne with a 4.3 some days early in the morning it won"t crank, I can let it set about an hour after trying it and it will crank. Any ideas what this could be, it has recent tune up thanks in advance josh

Before anyone can help you, it is definition time. What do you mean by "won't crank"? In some areas, "won't crank" means the engine turns over with the starter but won't start.In other areas, it means the starter won't turn the engine over at all. Write back & tell us what is, or isn't happening.

The engine does turn it just won't hit.most of the times it is a cool morning when this happens. After it starts it doesn't give any more trouble

Had similar problem with my 97 GMC. Turned out fuel pump was getting weak. Best bet is to take it to favorite guru & have him put fuel pressure gauge on to check pressure. Also check air flo sensor.
