Chopping corn

About two weeks behind normal, but corn looks good. JD 4640 and 830IH 3 row with 14' Richardton wagon. 95 day Dekalb corn.

Thanks for the memories, not sure how you work it on the other end. The wagon dumps in a pit? Only familiar with silo filling and when corn was greener like yours there was plenty of juice pouring ot the bottom, after getting over half full.

The hi dump wagon dumps into a truck which takes it to a silo or pile.

That corn look about perfect for chopping, ears look like the kernel would be dented with enough moisture in the plant to ferment and pack well.

Chopping corn was always one of my favorite jobs to do. That and plowing.

Yep, just dump in the truck, haul to pile, push up and pack. I don't have a current picture, but these two are from 30 years ago, the more things change, the more they stay the same.
