Anyone familiar with this subcompact mower? Looking at one with low hours but know nothing about them or the 3 cylinder Shanita diesel engine. Thanks.

Isn’t that essentially a New Holland TZ22DA, painted red? Shibaura ISM-S753 1 liter diesel engine.

Nothing wrong with Shibaura engines. IIRC there is a lot of heritage back into Perkins designs. We have a NH TC21D, which has a slightly older version of that engine. No problems.

Only issue you might find is support of the red version of these machines. But I think everything is the same as the blue ones, so you can get support there. In part due to their lack of support and sold volume, I think resale value suffers (for both the red and the blue versions, relative to similar sized orange or green tractors). But if you’re never going to sell it, what does that matter?
