Clay Hay-Mate?

Anyone hear of a Clay Hay-Mate mower w/conditioner. Mowed one pass, conditioned on next pass. Kind of like the old New Idea mower conditioner hitched together only in one unit.

Heard of Clay conditioners, owned one at one time. I believe what you are talking about is a sickle mower hooked in tandem with a hay conditioner. Two different machines. It would condition the swath that was cut the previous round.

I had one before they were Clay, they were Myers. They were a steel roll crusher with a pickup. The mower on the front was an IHC pittmen on the early ones and a pittmenliss on the latter. They were a little easer to operate than a mower , conditioner combination, but not as good as a haybine.
