cletrac year and model

I got a cletrac crawler from my friends farther. It's been in the woods over 20 years.Ran when parked. The engine is stuck. It has a 4 cylinder gas engine, Hercules. Magneto and hand crank. The plate on the engine said,
engine 240622
Size 4X4 1/2
Model OOC
I didn't see another plate anywhere but maybe I was looking in the wrong spot. Any info on this would help. I would like to get a manual for it. I posted a photo in tractor photos for ID.

The Hercules OOC was used in several Models. The early Cletrac 15, and 20C. These are from the early thirties. From the engine serial number It is most likely a AG or E model, both were made from the mid thirties into the forties. There should be a serial number plate on the engine side of the firewall.

I didn't see one on the firewall unless it is behind the air breather. Did you look at the photo in the tractor photo section. Maybe this can help with the ID. Thanks, Kirk

Can't really see it all that well in the picture. It could be an HG from what I see. Serial number tag if its there will be on the left side low as your sitting on the seat. Sort of under the gas tank, almost have to stand on your head to see it. You also might try going to CLETRAC.ORG they have a lot of pictures there

From the photo it is a later E from 36 to 41. The E was made in several widths,ie gauge, a narrow 31 a 38, 62, 68, and 76. Yours would be a 62 or 68. That is the center to center distance of the tracks. Measure the out width of the tracks and subtract the width of the track shoe, that will give the gauge.

Kirk,

It's a model E Standard , the A series didn't
use that type of roller . Even the early AG used
rollers that would cover with a stone guard . Here
is a copy of an old sales flyer for model E series.
