Hello all,
I would like to let everyone here know I have 3 Cletrac crawlers to save from the recycling center. I purchased them from a farmer and I now find myself moving to a new state. I would like to offer them to anyone interested in keeping them from the scrap heap. 2 of them are DD’s and one of them was a gas powered one. I have them for sale with no offers. At this point I would like to tell you they are free for the taking. All 3. The DD’s run and operate correctly. One of them has a 6 cylinder turbo charges Allis Chalmers engine in it. Which is pretty cool. Obviously you will have to pay for transportation to their new home if you want them. So they are free as free is these days. Thank you for your time. Here are some photos. If you need more information please email me. Thank you. I live in northern Idaho 5 miles from the Canadian border.

Wish you were close to me.
I like Cletrac crawlers.

May want to try to get ahold of Kurt Aumann or Aumann auctions. They always have trucks running all over the country bringing equipment to and from their big consignment sale. He may send a truck out to take all 3. He’s also an Oliver guy from what I know so being Cletrac would be in his wheelhouse. I’d love to have one of the DD’s but bad time of year for me to get myself involved in yet another project.

Thanks oliverkid,
I left a message for Kurt this evening. I also have a TD14A with a dozer blade and a Massey Ferguson backhoe on the back of it. I am currently rebuilding the steering clutches. When it is done it needs a new home also. It may wind up being free also. I just need to get them off the property so we can list it for sale.

Those are heavy loads for not a lot of money. Aumann just sold a bunch of big Cletracs like that down here at one of the big auctions and I don't recall anything like that bringing much more than scrap, in fact, I think some sold for less given scrap prices around here. I can't see them trucking all the way up and out of Northern Idaho.

Take a look here at this auction: https://www.aumannvintagepower.com/...--project-crawlers-and-tractors-77110/details

You're probably doing the right thing trying to give them away. I'm sure someone local would be interested if you put them on Marketplace- maybe you already did.

Thanks for the info scootergmc. I will look into the Facebook thing. I just don’t want them to be scrapped. They are good running units, and are part of our American history.

Yeah, as much as we love them, we want someone else too as well, but the fact is, progress is also part of American history. Heavy crawlers are a unique collector world and it's pretty small, and Cletracs are even smaller. I know a lot of those tractors I linked in that auction got scrapped. But you never know, you may find someone down in the Palouse who needs some ag style crawler for a specific job. If the running gear is good, they're usually worth putting to work. Even then, hauling is still going to cost a fortune. If there's a Cletrac club somewhere in BC too, you may want to check that out as well. I saw your craigslist ad as well. You need to add all the crawlers to the ad and post better pictures of the pins/rollers/bushings, etc. Otherwise the only interest you'll probably get is from scrappers, and it sounds like you need to move them sooner rather than later. Also check out the Western Antique Iron Trader magazine. I think the classifieds on there but it's a print magazine. I don't know how much time you have. However Facebook is probably your best bet. Good luck my friend. You're in God's country for sure.

Edit: Also, Booker Auctions out of Eltopia, WA has a lot of auctions in and around the Palouse and I think they have a big one coming up sometime soon. You may want to check them out. Maybe they haul and can get your tractors sold.
