Clocks or no clocks?

Back when I was a kin (1953 in Phoenix,Az) we would visit my grandmother a couple of times a week, about 14 miles round trip. I was just learning to tell time which ment I no longer had to relay the positions of the hands on a clock when me for the time. It was always dark on the trip home and I always enjoyed looking in the now closed stores for their clock on the back wall with the neon ring that circled the clock face. Now there are no clocks anywhere. Not knowing the time means spending more money.

We have 10 clocks , either in our home,on ourselves, or in he RV.

Residing next to the border (120 Meridian of longitude) of Alberta and British Columbia can be a "GONG SHOW".

The two provinces are "NOT" on the same time Zone for several months of the year.....

British Columbia NEVER changes TIME / CLOCKS back and forth between various Time Zones.....:)

Alberta changes their Clock /Time zone in spring and Autumn.....:(

Being cognoscente of time has always been part of my life.

Segal's Law " A man with one watch knows what time it is !
A man with two watches is never sure.

I used to have a 'thing' about accurate time and would set clocks by WWV
Since retiring time is really an suggestion, especially to my doctors
"Please arrive 15 minutes early" then wait for 45 minutes to be seen

I have about 8 counting car and shop and cell phone...wind up, electric and battery
I also stopped wearing a wrist watch when I got a smart phone... it's a love/hate relationship

Once a year at my physical I get to draw the face of a clock and put the hands at the time they tell me to, ain't getting old great!
And you really DO that???? I am disappointed. 15 years ago some older=than-dirt woman from medihelpless told me to do that. I wadded up that paper and threw it on the floor, called her an uncilivilzed name for being so insulting to me, and never agreed to another phony "checkup" again.

For those who take photos on their phone ,this is an opportune time to delete and name remaining photos. Sending to SD card for safe keeping too. Time flies. You would be surprised.

What kind of clocks are we talking? One with hands on the kitchen wall, digital on the microwave, stove, Bose accoustic wave under the television, one in the bedroom.

I used to have over 100 key or crank winds, from grandfather down to bedside. When I moved from 2600ish sqft to a 398sqft "as seen on TV" tinyhouse they all went away. I did keep one Seth Thomas Regulator that I rebuilt for a great aunt when I was 12. Other than that, its our phones and kitchen appliances.

I was into clocks as a hobby from 10 to 53 yrs old.

Stores no longer want you to know what time it is in fear you would realize you should be somewhere else. Kind of silly really since today everyone is constantly on their cell phones.

I collected and worked on clocks for years. At one time my wife counted over 300. Lots of them were small German and Swiss made alarms. About 10 brass ships clocks like used in the navy for shift watch. Grandfather clocks, wall clocks, mantle cocks. Now very people are interested in clocks. Probably be a big auction when I kick the bucket. 👨‍🌾

There are no clocks or windows in a casino, so the people there won’t know what time it is and keep on betting.
