Clover

This year the clover (Apache and Durana) has really made along with the rye grass in North east Texas. I noticed yesterday while walking in pasture that some seed heads still on the clover plant have sprouted. This June and so far July too we have had record setting rain fall. Wish we could ship some of it to ones that need it. It been 3 weeks since some of the farmers have been able to get in field to combine and will be at least another week if it stops raining now.
I know some of the seed that has fallen on the ground must be sprouting as well. What will happen to clover and rye grass that is sprouting now? usually we plant clover and rye grass in Oct/Nov time frame. Just curious if the ones sprouting will go and ahead and make or just die when it gets hotter here. I sure hope we will have enough seed that do not sprout now and make a good stand in the fall

went on 7 1/2 wk road trip stopped south of Byron Minn. corn maybe 3-4 inches-they were crying for rain-being from puget sound called my Dad told him to send some rain cause he's got plenty-well it rained next evening-I'm not taking the credit it was dad-swung back thru 4-5 weeks later corn was bettar then waist high=-thinking were gona eat good this winter.
