Clutch cap screw-how tight?

The cap screw in the end of the crankshaft came out and caused a bit of excitement. The lockwasher looks a bit flabby so I'm replacing it along with the bolt. How tight should it be? Would using medium strength thread locker be a good idea? If someone has a torque value, I'd appreciate that--along with any other advice!

Hmmmm I've not known that to be a problem but I'm wondering if perhaps your clutch driver is loose on your crankshaft splines? If so that would cause it to wiggle the bolt out of the crank.

How are the threads? Sometimes they are pulled from someone using that little bolt with a pull bar to attempt to roll the engine.

The threads look OK, if a little battered from circulating under the cover with the washers a bit. The driver is tight and the end overhangs the crank end about the right amount. Can't say about the "stretch" except that when changing facings it's never been a problem to get off or on. I suspect that yours truly just didn't put enough umph on it the last time I did it. I'm sort of paranoid about breaking off a bolt like that . . . This time I'd like to get it as tight as it should be.

AF 70,
The capscrew is a grade 8 with a lock washer and is torqued to 190 ft. lbs.
