Clutch cover '60'

Anyone got a source for the clutch cover clips for a '60' (or others)? I went to install mine and discovered (forgot) that 2 are broken. Thanx in advance.

JD should still sell them.

And make sure you put the cover back on with the flat spots where the nuts are and not where the clips are. The clips are to pop over the lip of the cover.

When you put the new rivets in to hold the new clips in place remember to buck em up good on the back.

I've gotten the clips from JD a few years back, would be suprised if they wouldn't have them.

Well, my JD dealer sells them, they are still available - notta problem, BUT, they want $23 EACH for them (plus the rivets-didn't ask). So I'm still looking for a 'better' (cheaper ) source. Thanks for your replies.

I think you can buy a whole new cover for like $30 from eBay or deerely departed, another reason I don't shop at the dealer.

Detwilers has them. Put two on my 720 Gas Last fall. They worked good

Thanks, I know you have at least 2 -60's, I have a 'repro' cover but need the spring clips that hold it in. 2 are broken right where they would make contact and I can't get the damned thing on!

Thanks, waay better price ,but still 'spendy'. Don't NEED to but what the hey, if I save up 2 yrs. worth of gov't pension checks I might be able to swing it!

I was looking at my 60 this evening and I will need 2 of these clips as well.

Do you have to remove the clutch to get to these clips? Also what is the best way to do the rivets. I dont have a rivet tool.
