I have a new set of clutch facings for my '39 B.

One side is flat, the other side has grooves ever couple of inches. Which side goes against the drive disk?
 
I don't believe it makes ANY difference, it's just the way the stock was made that the facings were cut from.
 
Bob is correct, Ken. It doesn't matter. The originals didnt' have grooves in them at all. It's just the type of material that was used. Mike
