clutch noise

Phil,It sounds like it could be the throw out bearing.Does it make a change in the noise when the clutch pedal is depressed/released?

Phil,The only remedy is to split the tractor and replace the throwout bearing. You could prolong the life of it by being sure there is plenty of clutch petal free travel so the bearing is not riding on the pressure plate ,and don't ride the clutch petal.(Keep your foot off of it when not changing gears,or starting or stopping)It could last a long while.

Phil........just turn yer hearing aides OFF. Simple, eh? NO aides?......oops..... Bottom line, it ain't gonna fall apart on you and keep yer foot off'n the clutch pedal. .......HTH, the hearing challenged Dell

Yep, t/o bearing.

But........

Beware of mission creep.

At a minimum, replace the pilot bearing & transmission seal while you're in there.

Check out the clutch disc; might as well have that & the p/p rebuilt while it's apart.
