Clutch pilot tool

I just got my engine back in my Super A the other day. I just shake the plate up & down then stop in the center. It went together as usual.

I just line it up when I fasten the pressure plate when putting together again as soon as the shaft hits the clutch I have the pto in gear and can turn the pulley till I feel the splines line up

Well if you have the lathe and a bar of some kind of metal or even plastic it would be faster to make one than find some place that sells them.

But on the other hand if yo can use it as an excuse for tipping a cold one with a friend then that works too!

I agree with making one, as I have a lathe and have made MANY, quite a few for "big" stuff.

For a little tractor, a $20 clutch alignment tool set you can get at most any auto parts store is the easy way out.
