clutch problems

Hi guys, I have a 5210 and whenever I engage the PTO the clutch pedal depresses. Then when I depress the clutch, the PTO handle moves
forward. What's going on here?

Thanks Harry. Yeah I expected something like that. I split it already and both the bearings are moving together. I haven't removed them yet, but I just wanted to make sure I'm on the right track. Thanks again.

My guess is traction clutch throwout brg operating sleeve(key 6) is binding on pto engagement brg sleeve(key 7). I think that design was not one of JD engineers best designs.

I think you're right Jim. After seeing your drawing, I see how it's supposed to work. The PTO bearing alone should slide forward when
activated, but it brings the clutch throwout bearing with it when it does. Somehow the 2 sleeves are bound to each other. Gonna be
interesting to see what's going on in there. I should find out today and I'll post what I find. Thanks Jim.

I found the problem. The PTO collar and the clutch release sleeve were stuck together. I took them to the work bench and with some Kroil
and my pipe wrench, I was able to separate them. I cleaned them up and put them back together and they now work good as new. Also, the keys
on the yokes were stuck as well and had to be freed up. Is this a common problem? I've never seen this before. Thanks for all the help.
