clutch problems

Hi guys, I split my 5210 and freed up the clutch and PTO bearings and all went back together well. I adjusted my clutch and no matter where I adjust it the clutch won't disengage when I depress the pedal. I've been from zero free play to a couple of inches and it still won't release. What did I screw up this time? Thanks.

did you pull it together with the bolts ?,,you may have jammed the disc forward and bowed it to where it drags,, better take it back apart for a look.

Did you remove the clutch disc/s from the flywheel to inspect while the tractor was apart?

If you only addressed the release bearings perhaps there are still issues in the clutch assy?

Oh my. Well we can do that. I think I'll go ahead and remove the clutch and inspect the discs while we're in there this time.

I did not. What's worse is that I kept looking at the clutch and wondering if I should check it out. My thought was, Nah, it's ok. Bit me right in the but. Thanks for your input.

Clutch disc stuck to flywheel? Drive it around with the clutch pedal depressed and stab the brakes. It may jar it loose.

Hold on a minute! LOL

Assuming that you DIDN'T pull engine & transmission together with bolts as Tim alluded to you may want to try shocking the clutch in the manner that Scott suggested before you disassemble for the 2nd time....

If you DID draw the 2 halves together with bolts then you will definitely want to split it again & plan on replacing the discs IMO...
