Clutch Slipping

I have been in the process of restoring a 1953 Ford Jubilee. I put a new clutch and pressure plate in the tractor a while ago. All was fine with the clutch while driving the tractor during the rebuild process. Recently the clutch has started to slip when going on an incline. I have adjusted the clutch linkage multiple times. The clutch and pressure plate were replaced during the rebuild. No fluid in the clutch area. Any thoughts?

Thoughts? Maybe a few. You obviously haven't used the tractor much since the clutch was installed, so wear and.or abuse is pretty low on the list of
possibles. I assume it's a single clutch? If so there isn't much to adjust, so if you have free play (meaning clearance between the throw out bearing face and
pressure plate levers) and it slips, there are few possibilities other than the clutch being the problem. Regardless of how new it might be or the low actual
hours of use, it looks like the clutch is simply no good. Not what you're hoping to hear no doubt, but that's where it leads.

If a clutch disk has springs in the hub you can put them in backward but you will know it instantly as the flywheel bolt grind against the springs in the hub.
