My father had an 850 he bought new when I was a kid and the clutch stuck one winter. Very hard to get unstuck but he did get it done. back to the present, our hunting club has a tractor build in India, nice machine 4 wheel drive cab over heated air, but it has a clutch lock down. So being an old coal miner I copied and modified for my '64 4000 here is what I used. A small Crosby clamp U and a J hook slightly modified.

That is a good idea for long-term storage. In the past, all of the Japanese tractors that Ford used to sell (e.g. 1710, 1920, etc.) came with a block of wood that was supposed to be hung from the LH platform, which was to be used to block down the clutch pedal from underneath. Those tractors were really good about sticking clutches when they sat around for even a short time in humid areas.

Block the pedal down now and mother nature will unstick it as the weather changes if it's not to late in the season. BTDT
