Clutch T Bolts

Anyone make there own clutch T bolts out of regular bolts? Seems like one could shape the head (weld on some material if need be) and drill the cross holes a heck of a lot cheaper than $40 each.

I think there’s a complete clutch kit if you would rather depending on what tractor you are working on

Do some research. T-Bolts are used for more things than hand clutches. Industrial applications will have a much higher material requirement than your hand clutch requirement, but will not affect the operation. If you make them yourself, you will need to use the proper material, have a Lathe and a Mill, then you will have more money in them than $40 each. I am going to buy mine for my 730 even though I have made them before when working overseas where parts are always a problem. Do you know why they charge $40 each ?? Because they can!!! Have a great day!
