clutch will not disengage

I recently bought a TO-30 that was not running. I was told it had been setting for a few years. So after having the starter rebuilt and cleaning the carb, I lubed the cylinders and got the tractor to start. It will need a new manifold also. The problem I have is that when I tried to drive the tractor the clutch seems as though it is not disengaging. I have adjusted it as far as it will go. So what would be my next move?

Hey there Bowman;
I'm not sure that this might work,
but I think it's worth trying.
Find some way that you depress the
clutch,pedal and block it there.It
just might pop loose after setting
for a while. Lots of luck. Bob

The clutch is stuck to the flywheel via rust most likely. Pull the lower cover off the bell housing and see if you can verify anything that way. Look in the archives as this has been discussed many times.

Thanks for the info. I started the tractor while it was in gear and the clutch broke free right away. That was one of the things I wanted to try, but just thouhgt I would post this problem first and see what others had to say. I did find this topic in the archives. Thanks again, Tom.
