Ive run into a problem. I had the flywheel cut on a 2500 int backhoe and the machine shop could not find the right spec for the pressure plate mounting face to flywheel clutch face (inset flywheel. How much bolt drawdown space should I have on the pressure plate before tighting. Is there a general rule. Thanks

IF you can find it, the most likely "spec" would be "finger height", measured with the clutch assembled on the flywheel.

Can't they just take the same amount off both surfaces ? There should of been a little area unworn to go off of.

If its just a plain ole' model 2500, the flywheel step should be 1.188". I its a 2500 series "A" or "B", the step is 1.443". Make sure before they make the cut.
