CNH Specialty Tools

Hey guys looking for specialty tools from CNH. Specifically the ones for use in installing seal etc in an MXU 135 transmission. Theirs a set but Case doesn’t offer them for sale anymore. Any leads on where I could look? Thanks in advance!

See if you can get a print for one, I have made one. I need a special tool to put an internal seal on a shaft of a massy backhoe. I don’t know if the newer factory manuals still show a prints like the case and IH factory manuals did. Good luck

I would think you would have probably thought of this but does the service manual show the tool listed by its number? If so I would web search the tool number.

My goodness I put the tool number you supplied below along with "CNH tool " into the duckduckgo search box and got about 10 hits, including snap on (says they have a cnh tool catalog) and several smaller dealers with names like mycnhstore, com, whitesfarmssupply.com, peri-parts.com etc. Search is your friend.

Apparently you didn’t attempt to go into any of the results to see if you could purchase the tool. In the CNHI parts site it shows the tool but I think it may only be available to dealers it shows no price and says call for availability. In my search with google I did not get the Snap-on result. If any of your results actually lead you to a place that shows the tool and a price I am sure the OP would appreciate a link to it. If you are not familiar with posting a link here the down and dirty method is to copy everything in your address bar (the box at the top of the page that starts with https://….) then paste it into the reply box here.

I did the same and my search gets me nothing except a few pics of batteries and testers. can't even see it on mycnh parts web

Can I get the dimensions of the seal and how far it's supposed to be installed, maybe any steps or shaft diameters it would need to clear?
I could make one if I knew more of what needs made.
Maybe even a picture of where it goes....
Does a CaseIH book have a special tool section for the tool in question? Maybe a picture there?

Looks like I can get a Blue New Holland snappy tool box / grill/ smoker..... not sure why I'd want that....but alas, no seal installer..

The Snap-on catalog appears to be basic hand tools and boxes with Case or NH logos on them. Nothing like pullers and installation tools.

Here the one I made, the seal was if I remember right square edges and wanted to turn inside out when I tried to put it in. Made this so it could not roll.

Does your dealer have one they will let you sketch and measure so you can make something that will work? Without some pictures and info about what is needed it is hard to help you. And likely there are not many with that tool in their toolbox.
Yeah the dealer I use has one that they would but I’m in NY and they are out of PA so I have to pay shipping plus their rent fee which isn’t exactly cheap

I dunno. Your search engine matters so anytime you do not find what you are looking for on your default engine just try another. They will give different results.

You gave us “My goodness” but none of that helped the OP. Did you attempt to check actual availability of the tool as I suggested in reply 8? Any result that leads to the CNH online parts store is a dead end. Dealer only item, but can probably be had by the general public at a prohibitive cost for a one time job. I appreciate that other search engines may produce different results but it is really of no value to the OP until you say I found x site offers the tool for x amount.

Yeah and as it was mentioned earlier I should possibly just rent them and use that too build my own. It’s not like I’m opposed to the rent option it’s just that we do several of these transmissions a year and I only came to realize there a specific tools designed for it so I wanted to get a set as a courtesy to my workers. The cost isn’t the issue so much as just getting my hands on a set.
