Cockshutt 35 narrow front compatability?

I have a Cockshutt/Blackhawk 35 with wide front. If I want to put on a narrow front, does anyone know what models of tractor would be compatible? ie: a narrow front off a Cockshutt 30 would work. PS-no, I don"t want to sell the wide front, just want to pickup a narrow front.

All front ends from 35's, 40's and 50's are interchangeable - so to answer your question, you can use a narrow front end from a 35, 40, Co-op E4, 50, or a Co-op E5.

Nope, narrow off a 30 won't work.

I think the larger frame 35,40, & 50 were Cockshutt made, the ones on a 30 were made by ross. Also keep in mind the steering shaft on a 30 goes down along side the engine where the larger frame tractors the shaft went over top.

And that goes for parts in general- 35, 40 and 50 are virtually identical tractors, with different engines. 30 is a completely different tractor, I'd be surprised if any parts interchange.

I think the 30 did share some engine internal's with the 40 and the front wheels and hubs. But of course that is picking a nit.

For the majority you are right. 30 was pretty much a vendor tractor with the Cockshutt designed Live PTO. Cockshutt made the frame, PTO, and sheet metal and that was pretty much it on the 30.

35, 40, & 50 were pretty much all Cockshutt except for the engine. And yes the transaxle was the same in all three.

Yes, a 30 front will bolt in. You will have to cut your steering shaft and run it down takes 4 or 5 knuckles.

I just got off the phone with a local tractor junk yard. He pulled up the part number on the front end of a Cockshutt 30, T08859, on the 35 it is a TG08559. Does that sound right? And if so, does that mean for sure it won't fit? It is local so I could go look at it, anything I should check out for compatability?
